Default Paint repairs

Well, after having the car for a little over a month, and detailing it only once (so far), I have begun to notice that there are a few rock chips on the front bumper, passenger door and fender, and the drivers fender. There are also three pretty deep scratches that for sure go past the clear coat. The rock chips on the doors and sides have already had touch-up paint poorly applied to them but the ones on the bumper and fender are down completely past the paint. Am I looking at just needing a body shop to take care of these things in order to get the paint smooth again? I can deal with there being touchup paint on it but it's the unevenness that bothers me!

I am able to do almost any kind of work myself, but I'm kinda new to the whole "finish maintenance" thing as this is the first car I have had with good paint!

thanks,
Parker

Yeah that's what I figured. I was Kinda hoping it wouldn't come to that, but on the rear quarter there was some crappy PDR done before I bought it, cracking the finish. I will have the pros take care of that while I will try to get the chips myself!

Off to ebay to find a PC!
