Default PC and pinstripes

I just got my Porter Cable 7424 and want to practice swirl removal on my 1999 Accord. There are narrow pinstripes running the length of the car on both sides. Is it safe to run the PC over these stripes, or should I tape them off or just avoid them?

Thanks for your help.

Play safe and use tape.

The pinstripes on my G35 were harder than the clear coat. It was safe to do those.

yup- it depends on how they are attached and how long they have been there...
safest to stay away from them-
