Default Poorboys Polish

I just ordered the Poorboys SSR3, SSR2, and SSR1 polish along with a PC and the Edge 2000 6" pad kit. I was wondering if i need to also order the SSR2.5 or if would be OK to go right from SSR3 to SSR2. Thoughts? Thanks in advance.

The SSR3 is some pretty aggressive stuff. Depending on what you're trying to clean up, you might be able to start with the SSR2. Going from SSR3 -> should be possible, but perhaps someone with more SSR experience can chime in. I've only ever used 2.5.

SSR3 is pretty aggressive and really is only needed for the most neglected finishes. I've also read in the past that SSR3 does not work terribly well with a PC, but I've read mixed opinions on that.

Whatever the case may be make sure you do a test spot on your car to determine the best combination of pad & polish to remove the defects on your finish. Don't just jump straight into using SSR3 because chances are good that you don't need a polish that strong. I have Menzerna PowerGloss which has a similar level of abrasiveness and I've only used that once. It was on a 7 year old Volvo which was never waxed, extremely rarely washed, and sat outside 24-7.

Also, keep in mind abrasiveness is a combination of polish abrasiveness and pad abrasiveness. So, SSR2 is more abrasive when used on the Edge yellow pad than when used on the Edge orange pad for instance.
