Ha... interesting topic.
I've always found that the green cuts more than my orange. I can get away with a newer car with using the green pad as my main swirl cutting one (won't need yellow on an almost new car), and finish up with the orange. If I was to ONLY use the orange - it'd take me twice as long to get all the swirls out. It just doesn't cut like the green does.
I rarely use my blue pad for anything, maybe some SSR1 final polishing here and there but not very often. It's nice and soft, but it doesn't cut well and I use the white to apply sealants.

SSR does dust like crazy. It's one of the reasons i switched to Optimum 2 years ago.
I just did my Dad's wing on his Accord with Blackfire SRC this weekend with my rotary to take out a deep scratch. Unfortunately only about 90% of it is gone (it was deep) but damn the wing otherwise looks STELLAR. Not a swirl or or cobweb anywhere. No holograming with a yellow pad or white pad even on his black car in direct sunlight
