I already had the PC 7424 sander. I ordered the velcro attachment thingy from Griots and went with their pads and have been very happy with the combination.

I don't remember what they charged for the velcro pad attachment, but I'm sure if you e-mail them they would tell you - it isn't listed online. That way if you can get a better deal on the PC at some other online retailer you can go that route and just get the part you need.

The 7336 is $109 at Lowes, and even cheaper if you can find a 10% off coupon.

7336 and 7336sp already come with the 6" counterweight. This is preferred over the 5" for vibration.

Very highly recommended reading http://www.autopia.org/forums/showthread.p...&threadid=14421

The counterweight acts as a flywheel and counterbalance to keep the machine from vibrating too much. The 6" is a bit heavier so it works better with the 6" backing plate and pads.

Correction, that was $109 for a 7336sp, which is basically a 7336 that also includes a polishing attachment.
