Default Is it possible to fix this?

So the one of the plastic rectangle pieces above the trunk on my car looks like this:

I've seen it on other S2000s I'm guessing someone was too aggressive with a rotary on that plastic piece. Is it possible to fix this or do I just need to replace it? I just finished up my first detail on the car and just went over it lightly not wanting to do any more damage. I'm guessing that since its plastic I can't really fix it.

Thanks, that's what I thought. Looks like they are easy enough to replace.

that piece is plastic!? Hrm...

Seems like there was some sort of debris that got caught on your rotary and just scuffed it up pretty bad. Doesn't look like paint fail because of the perfectly straight markings. If you can locate a replacement part, i'd try wetsanding a small portion and seeing it if helps?

I think you just pop the trunk, remove a screw, and they just wiggle out. And from what I recall, they're not too expensive either.

EDIT:

Items 9 & 10. About $20 a piece, and they come painted.

Yep, they are cheap enough that I just ordered a new one.
