Default Preparing for a detail day

Hi guys, so I'm in my last few weeks here in the US and about to go back home for the summer, after I come back from China.
I will need to polish my car to take some swirls out, i'm in the progress of buying the porter cable and the XMT swirl remover and such.
Now I live on an island, very hot and it very dusty. I heard to put a sealant because wax attracts dust and such. Anyone can guide me into what steps I can take? A friend suggested me with a sealant for and then a wax coat on it.

Thank you in advance.

wax over sealant is a good combo, should be nice.

good starting point:

especially check out the videos on polishing... polishing is the toughest job a detailer faces- best way to learn is from someone else who already knows how to do it. best way to find that person is to post up in your local forum (cant tell where you live)-
since i was one of the early "sandwichers", i can echo the above comments that the best protection and best look is often a good synthetic covered by a good carnauba.

i've been looking at those videos and studied them a lot. Thats why I'm going with the XMT for the polishing and swirl remover. Now i'm in the progress of deciding which clay bar I need to get and also what brand sealant and good wax.
This is what i'm thinking my routine will be.
Wash the car.
Clay the car.
Polish the car.
Sealant on the car, maybe 2 coats.
Then wax it with 2 coats.
Does is sound kinda right?

Quick question, after claying your car. do you need to rinse it with water then dry it before you start working with the PC and the XMT swirl remover? Or after claying just dry it out and start with the PC?
And how many micro towels do you guys suggest me to have?
