I just recently purchased an OEM Car cover off of ebay and when i got it everything was in brand new condition.

I put the car cover on in the garage and I noticed that there was a plastic hole on the driver side door bottom part for what looks to be a spot to tie down the cover.

The cover came with a string but there was no instructions. Is there a link I can view how to tie it down properly or can someone briefly explain the best way to tie down the cover.

It appears that the cover is snug enough that it wont blow away but I am not sure.

i have never tied mine down...
and dont even have the rope on it.
never had it blow off, but i guess it could if the wind was strong enough.
had one on my jeep and i did tie it down in winds.

you can just tie it with any knot that you can easily untie-

 

Do you bring it across the bottom of the car or how did you tie your jeep down ? I dont know where to tie it to.

yes, throw it under the car and walk around to the other side... pick it up and tie it.
the throwing part can take a couple of tries-
