Last week I received a quote that to refinish the hood it would take approximately 2 days.

I dropped the car off yesterday to Honda's collision center and now they tell me it will take 4-5 days because they ahve to sand down reprimer, paint and reseal, let the paint cure etc.

Does it normally take that long to redo a hood. ? Or is this a case of them probably not working on the car the day I dropped it off ?

If they try to charge me more than the intial quote im really going to be pissed!!

 

poor customer service-

they should have known how long it would take when they gave you the 2 day estimate...
absolutely should not charge you more, and imo you should complain when its all over-

 

Yes this screws my whole schedule as well. I called another place and they said it would take approximately 4-5 days so I understand that things can take a while, I just wish i Knew up front.

 

honda always BS's with customers..i had my fender repainted through them and first day i dropped it off they said it should take no longer then 2-3 days so a week later i call them and they said we just finished painting it the day b4..
