Reburbished Wheels
I had the rims redone on my other car. They were flaking, chipping and a curb ran in to me. Anyway, they were sandblasted etc.. look real nice. Do you guys think reburbished rims quality is better if done right? compared to factory. They are painted rims. Not sure what kind of metal is underneath. My question is, now that they are brand new and spiffy again, how long should I wait to polish and protect? and what is the recommened product.
i like carnuba too... but the wheels get pretty hot and will vaporize carnuba fairly quickly.
my solution is one of the following:
1. wheel wax or similar product (they contain carnuba mixed with synthetics- so you get the best of both)
2. synthetics covered by carnuba (what i usually do on mine). you do have to recoat the carnuba fairly often (at least at each wash) if you want the wax... the synthetics will continue to protect and they still look good- i just like the added shine of carnuba.
