Default What to use to clean/protect rims?

Since the search works so well , I wanted to know what you guys use to clean and protect your rims.

Specifically, CE28N's. I realize for painted rims you can wax them, but what about for ones that are anodized?

TIA.

I just wash them along with the rest of the car. No drama here.

i like synthetics on the wheels cause they last longer... zaino, etc.

i sometimes carnuba over the synthetic, but i also know that the carnuba wont last long with the wheel heat.

wheel wax is a product that is made for wheels... it is a synthetic and carnuba blend. i use it on some wheels, and have used it on my car- but usually use zaino or finish first on my own wheels.

btw, your wheels are clear coated, so you can really use anything on them that you use on your paint.

I applied some zaino when mine were brand new, aside from that I just use P21S to keep them clean.

Just the soap im using to wash my car and a designated microfiber towel. I've heard only good things about waxing wheels.

Yup! Once you wax/seal your wheels once you'll be very impressed. You'll never go back to leaving them unsealed. It really reduces the brake dust build up and makes the wheels much easier to clean.

How do you prep a used rim to be waxed? Take the rim off from the hub? Any suggestions?

Take rim off, clean it.

Wax it.

Don't bother with canuba on it.

Any wax is ok.

I use Meguiars Cleaner wax on my wheels.

NXT/S100 on the rest of my car.

Here are pics of my wheels. 3 Days worth of driving. I didn't wipe them down when taking the pic.

Also, use a cotton towel or microfiber one. Don't use paper towels...you'd be wasting your time. ;-)
