Turtle Wax Bug and Tar Remover is not too bad either. But as said before.....WAX after use. I suppose you could even go the Zaino route, and as many folks have already pointed out, Z6 does a mighty job of helping bugs slide right off the paint surface.
Of course, Z6 isn't too helpful if you have bugs plastered all over your vehicle right now, it just serves as a great preventative aide.

I don't know if you can get them in the USA but I have a bug remover sponge that works wonders, basically it is just a sponge with an open cotton weave net over the top of it, it removes dead bugs when you wash the car without any harsh chemicals, works on tar spots too! It helps if the car has a good coat of wax on though...

Thanks for the response guys. I did have 3 coats of Zaino on before the trip but I was mashing these bugs at 235kph and they're stuck on pretty good. I like that bug removing sponge idea. Where did you get that?

Halfords (Probably means nothing on the other side of the Atlantic!)

Hope you can find something similar, the 2 sponges are identical but are marketed as bug (white mesh) & tar (black mesh) removers. They work great with your regular car wash and I have never seen a scratch. They cost about

You can in fact buy these sponges here. I've seen them at many auto supply stores e.g Canadian Tire in Canada. I'm a little skeptical on using them though unless the car is well waxed. I suspect that the weave could, if used incorrectly (or on a very dirty car) cause some fine scratches to the paint's surface.

PS-I remember shopping @ Halfords when I used to live in Peterborough. Wish they had them here in Canada
