hey i wana see pics!!

o.k.- if you dont have pics, thats o.k. too-
can you tell whether this is a water based product that they used (easier to remove safely than oil based)?

how big of an area?
is the truck clearcoated?

without knowing more, my first thought is detailers clay- it was first used to remove paint overspray by body shops... it works best on smaller amounts of paint (like drips or slight sprays- not as well on thick paint).

I had a feeling clay would do the trick. Thanks for confirming that.

Not sure on the clear coat, although I think it does. When I see the truck on friday I'll know how bad it all is. Apparently the shop guy got a bunch of it off with some general purpose cleaner. Guess it was still wet this morning, wet enough to scrub the heck out of it and get most of it off. The paint job on this truck was something like 8g's, so I'm sure we're gonna want to get it off better than "most of it."

It's a 24' GMC box truck with an 8' liftgate, very nice, will post pics after I'm done with it next week. Heck maybe I'll detail the whole thing if I'm bored enough. That ought to earn me 4 badges!
