Removing S2000 fender emblems?
Hey gang,
I've decided I want to remove the s2000 fender emblems for a cleaner look. Im wondering what might be the best way to do so without damaging the paint?

i replaced mine with black chromes... and replaced the badges with ricks thats how i know!!!
btw- a tip for you: be sure to tape the area where the badges are before removing them if you will replace them cause its very hard to do by the "measuring method"!
black chromes
Before you just use the dentel floss, you should heat up the emblems with a hair dryer. Once you've heated it up then use the dentel floss to cut through the mounting tape to remove the emblem. If you can try and work the dentel floss behind the tape so its between the fender and the tape. You may need to reheat it a few times. Please make sure you don't burn your paint. You just want to heat it up not melt it
Once you get the emblem off the car you can use the WD-40 to remove the rest of the adhesive from the fender. Once this is done I highly suggest you wash the fenders with 'Dawn' soap or the like to remove the WD-40 from the paint. Then you should wax it

I removed mine last year and it's a pain. Be patient and use lot of heat from the blow dryer.
1) I suggest you clean the car around the emblem.
2) Heat up the small area on the edge of the emblem (Work in small sections of 1" X 1" each) with a blow dryer and use the floss to cut the adhesive. If you have a thin strong fishing line, that would be better.
3) repeat until the emblem is completely off the car.
Now take a break because you are only third of the way done.
Now soak the left over adhesive with the WD40 or an adhesive remover. Using a soft cloth, remove the excess adhesive. Repeat until most of it is gone. Finally use your thumb to remove the rest with more heat from your blow dryer. NOTE: DO NOT USE ANY HEAT SOURCE WHEN USING WD 40. WD IS FLAMMABLE.
I think it is best done during a really hot day. Good luck.

It seriously is a PITA. I took one side off, then worked on the other side the next day.
Just make sure you heat the adhesive well, because the paint can come off with the adhesive if you force it off.
