Rotory Help
Hey so we have a bunch of rotory polishers at school, so I told my instructor to teach me so we can go my car.
Well he did and really its cake, I used an aggressive wool pad and compound to get the deeper scratches out, (left a haze)
Then a finer pad with a fine glaze to get that out.
(all is well and almost all the scratches are gone, but when you look it at the light u can see a few scratches here and there in different directions.)
What should I do, go to a more aggressive pad again, or go to even a finer pad, cause we weren't on the finest polish.
My instructor said we wont see them once you apply wax, but I know I will I am very picky.

depends on how deep the scratches are...
if you go too deep you remove clear coat- and if the scratch is into the metal its not gonna get better
if the scratches still seem to be in the clear, you just go at them again.
you could try a fine cut first if you think they arent as bad as the first batch.
got any pics??
i hate to disagree with instructors, so i wont.
usually what you see after a polish is what you will see after its waxed in my experience, unless you are using a swirl filler type glaze before the wax.

wanabe won't but I will disagree with your instructor... scratches should come out before the wax goes on. No real LSP is going to hide scratches.
Also keep in mind that you may have "installed" some of those deeper scratches with an aggressive wool and compound. You missed a step or two of polishing in there. If you took out 1200 grit sanding marks you may need to go to a polish that takes care of 1500 grit marks then on to a finer polishes that does 2000 grit and above.
