softtop help!
you can get it new again...
any of these products will work- vinylex, 303 or raggtopp (make sure that you get the vinyl version).
wash the top with your car shampoo and a brush. there are top shampoos- i used to use one that is sold by porsche, but i never found that it did anything that my car shampoo wouldnt do with some elbow grease and a brush. since your top is in bad shape you might have an exception to my rule.
scrub well, rinse and dry completely. once dry, soak a rag (really soak it) with your product choice. rub it in to the top. make sure that there is a lot of product on the top. let it sit for awhile. then buff it off. if its new again then buff it one more time with a clean rag. if its not yet new, repeat the process...
take some pics and post em up (in fact how bout take before pics too and post up your whole process and experience!)

Mine is gray now instead of black. The previous owner had it in the sun all day. I have some raggtopp cleaner. Let's see if it works.

if you use a product such as 303 doesnt is blacken the top as well protect it from UV light that causes it to fade?

Ok, here's my report so far after using raggtopp cleaner and protectant.
I took the car out and washed it. I used raggtopp cleaner to get rid of any dirt on the top.
I brought the car back home and let it dry, then I generously applied raggtopp protectant.
Before applying raggtopp protectant:

As you can see, my soft top is VERY faded!
After applying raggtopp protectant:

After using the protectant I noticed the top is now a bit darker, not not a major change. Would the 303 product be any different?
