is this spotlight going to be any good?
So im down on vacation in the states right now and thought i would try to see if i could bring back a decent spotlight to partner my 1000W halogens for lighting and i headed to a wal mart here and found in the automotive section the "stanley 1M spotlight" with a "580 lumens" rating on the blister package.
I know this is only a halogen spotlight, but its the lumen rating that caught my attention. I was going to buy the dorcy 220 lumen (LED) or a brinkmann, but this was only $17.88, so i picked it up. Obviously i'd like to try this thing in real life situations, but i don't have the cars on me right now to try it out. I think i will give it a try though on our rental van, its a sienna with a light blue metallic paint job, so it hopefully will be similar to what i'll experience on the suzuka S2k.
In the meantime, has anyone tried this thing? and is it the lumen rating that i want to see or is the halogen type lighting just going to be useless anyways since im already using halogen lights?

I bought a 1 million candlelight spot light and it's useless. My brinkman does a better job
. I'd return it and just go with the dorcy or brinkman

BRINKMAN FTW!
I haven't tried this one specifically, but I have tried a Coleman LED flashlight, hoping to save money versus a Fenix or similar. It doesn't work. I'd get a Brinkman, or a Fenix, or one of the others that people have already demonstrated work well.
there are a lot of ways to save money in detailing, but according to these other members with experience, this isn't really one of them. Good info fellas, and i'll be getting a brinkman at somepoint it looks like!
