Spots on front bumper
No, I just bought it two weeks ago from a Honda dealership. I didn't notice the spots at first, but the car was rather dirty the day I purchased it. I saw the spots and just chalked it up to water spots...boy was I wrong. I tried to hand buff it with Meguiars wax, didn't put a dent in the spots.
ok, back from the dealer. The detail manager says it's acid rain (car is org. from VA, does VA get acid rain?!) and I'm not really buying it, but they won't tell me different. Anyway, we talked to the detail staff, who said they would hand buff the spots with compound and then re-wax the surface since they won't use a machine buffer on painted+cleared plastic. I am awaiting callback from the salesman to find out if they are going to cover the charges (which they'd damn well better).
I still think it's spray on wax.

I have seen this before on dark colored cars. It can be several things from water spotting in the clear coat, to acid rain etching, to chemical.
It looks as though it is only in the clear however, but you will need to have it machine polished out.
Im very surprised that the dealer will not polish it, although its probably a good thing. I have had to correct many a new car straight from the dealership after the hacks with a rotary swirled the heck out of the clear.
