Well, I used one of the spray washers (Not automatic)

Dried the car off afterwards with Cobra Waffle Weave drying towel

And I used the UQD with Cobra Microfiber Buffing towels, but the car wasn't dusty. I also used a back and forth motion, and my swirls are circular (Like they were when I got the car)

The polishes, and waxes were applied via UDM, but the ZAIO I did in between was applied by hand.

I'm running out of Ideas here. I really cant think of anything that would have caused it

Point being that it is possible that you could've sprayed the car down with car wash chemicals and removed your carnauba protection thereby revealing your old swirl marks.
I used a polish before I waxed though, so the swirls shouldn't be there, even if it did take off the carnuba, AND go though the ZAIO.

your swirls being circular are the big hint...
if you always go back and forth, this means that the swirls were there after you polished-
if you ever did any circular motions, that could be when they got there.

any tags on your rags? (prob not the source if you always went back and forth and the swirls are circular)

Neg, Cobra towels don't come with sewn on tags

Why would they reappear after washing though, if they weren't there after I polished, applied ZAIO, and three coats of wax on top?

Think I should just try repolishing them out tomorrow when I get my new pads for my UDM?

i would guess that the swirls were there after you polished, but you didnt see them.
if they bother you, you should polish them again. if you can live with them for now, then just wait until they bother you enough.
a wacko with a black car just might be bothered (ask me how i know!!) enough to take the morning off of work to fix it!

make sure that your polish technique is good- did you review the video? if so, you know that polishing isnt just a wipe on wipe off sorta process- its a work the heck outta the product process (especially the swirl remover part of the process). be careful with the more aggressive products. you can prob just do the swirl removal product and skip the other polishes-

and make sure that you arent polishing in circles!!

I watched the Pinnacle videos 3 times each.... so about 6-8 hours of videos, not counting other sides I read/watch. The paint wasn't hazy, but the scratches were still present, assuming thats my pad then.

I give up on this car ..... I just went out and started looking at it, and there was this oily coat on it, so I grab my MF towel, and wipe it off the front fender, hit my side marker, and break the clip that holds it in !!! I give up

I'm just gunna strangle myself with the $100+ I spent on MF towels that could possibly scratching my car

did you give your car a good look-over after u did SFX1-3? If they are still there after the SFX steps then the zaino/wax might have just filled in the gaps preventing you from getting a good look? What time of day did you check when done? If late in the day, it's harder to see the swirls.

also I'd higher recommend watching the showcargarage video on how to use your PC for showcar results...

Mike Phillips really goes into depth on pressure needed on the PC as well as speed (which the pinnacle vids do cover). Better than that is just getting someone who knows what they are doing to show you.

MF towel care is a MUST. After washing/cleaning them, you must store them in a plastic baggie, ESP if you are putting them in the car. I also pick at the towels to remove any foriegn matter...very time consuming, every little stray dirt particle is a swirl in waiting.

I store my MF towels in my trunk after I wash them, but I hardly open my trunk, and it's nearly spotless.

About watching someone who knows what they are doing......
Went and watched a guy who works at a body shop, and it was a complete waste of time... Considering he was just rubbing his fingers over the paint the entire time, and using his fingernails to scrape stuff off..... I left shortly after that.

I did it mid-day, in the shade. I could see a few swirls after I was finished, but nothing major, I planned on going back and doing them after I got my new Pads. But they weren't nearly as bad as they are now.

Anyone know the link to the PC video by Mike?

Thanks for everything guys.... This is a real upsetting time
