I live near Joliet at the intersection of 80 and 55. If you ever need help, let me know. I can't advertise here, but I can help you correct the issues you are having. I've worked on others' cars on the forum.

Good luck!

So, basicly like I said, Some old lady decided she wants to turn, 3/4ths the way down the lane, I can't slow down, cause she obviously didnt see me, and she would hit me, so I did the only thing reasonable, and tried to take the turn at 35-40 mph. Then when my rear end was infront of her car, I started to brake, because I was worried about my car sliding off the road (Didn't really matter). Well, Since I was in the rocks, the car just spun. I did the only thing I thought was reasonable, and steered into the spin. It was all over pretty quick, and I couldn't see much from all the rock dust. I know as soon as my car was stopped, that old lady was no where to be seen. My car was going against the traffic lane I needed. (I was in between the two seperate lanes, it's a divided highway. Have a few scuffs in the paint, and my interior is going to be a bitch to clean again.... (sighs) This is going to be worse than the Dog Hair :-P

Pictures up of the car after I reboot Hopefully.

Here's a little proof saying it actually did work, the dividing line is about the center of the picture, sorry bout the bright light glare.

Heres a picture of my finger swipe on the dash.

Heres a picture of my hood afterwards...

you need to try to isolate when they are appearing and then you can figure out what causes them...
only after washing? (what mitt do you use, and what are you using for drying?)

The swirls are in the paint I'm thinking... under halogens, I cant see the swirls. And I'm washing side to side, and all the swirls are circular. I noticed a few yestarday (Before the car got effed), but its much worse after washing. Using Meguiars Gold Class wash, Cobra Microfiber wash mitt, Cobra Waffle Weave Drying towel. Using the drag method (Cause its not as a PITA as blot drying) but it's only on my hood and Trunk lid.... Thats what I don't understand. My fenders which were swirled worse, after polishing, they are swirl free now in the sun.

Ok, I will put my $.02 in here, this is just going off what I think happened, but could be a couple of things. Sounds like they were probably filled in with all of your products, and revealed once the fillers washed away. If you repeat your steps you will find they might "vanish" again.

this could be your culprit...
mf mitts do not unload dirt very well- unless you have the chenile mf one
(although if you are washing in straight lines, this would not explain it- what process are you doing in circles? if nothing, then those are old swirls that you just didnt get in the removal process).

let me track down more info and post it back here for you. and i would get a lambswool to replace that puppy

The only circular motions are my polishes... but I throw AIO on top, with two coats of wax, and its like when the car sits in the sun for a few hours and then I wash it, the swirls are back (I wash it when the car is cool to touch)

The only places I have swirls are on my hood and trunk lid. Could it be that they were DA'ed before the clear coats? And the swirls are under the clear?

not likely under the clear... unless the car was repainted-
but, can you feel them at all with your fingernails?

now sounding like it could be either your pads or more likely, as autogeek said, old swirls
