synthetic brush
I do not know the specific product you are refering too, however there are loads of car drying items (chamois / synthetic chamois / mico fibre towls / water blades etc) which will not scrat your paint if used properly . And that is the kicker - if the car is not properly clean, residual dirt will scratch the car (Zaino recommend 100% cotton towels which lift the dirt into the towel) - I think the key is to get all potential abrasives off the car before touching it with anything. I belive that if the car is not properly clean just about any drying method (short of getting out the leaf blower!) will cause scratches.
It is dangerous of manufacturers to make these claims of their products - it lulls the user into a false sense of security!

I use a 2 step drying method. First, I drive around the block at about 70 mph after I rinse to get the heavy water off. Then I use a real chamois for the light stuff that is left. Those fake chamois all seem to leave water trails when I use them for anything but absorbing the heavy water.
