The only synthetic chamois that can hang with the absober is the one from P21S. It is arguably better.

While I have the Absorber, I like the california water blade and about 1/2 dozen pure cotton towels. Faster and better results IMHO.

The Autoglym one works great. I think you should get one of those.

tnt - I looked at the Autoglym but haven't yet tried it, though the leather conditioner is very good.

Having now found a microfibre towel I see they are not a chamois really, but you got the idea.

My Absorber arrived this morning, too late to do anything with it until tonight at the earliest. I will let you know what I think soon.

Frayed - I have heard lots about the California duster, but not the water blade, what is it??

Thanks to all for help with this

Frayed - Scratch the request for info on the Water Blade, I have found it, interesting looking device, it looks to be only available in the US, so I shall stick with trying the Absorber for now.

I'm curious. When I bought the S2k, my mother bought me three 16" square towels marked "Nic Sand Micro Fabric" consisting of 70% polyester and 30% polyamide. These towels are great. Since they weren't packaged, I'm curious if these are the same material your talking about?

P21S drying towel (synthetic chamois) for the paint, followed by final touch-up of the paint with micro-fiber towel, then the windows and top with the micro-fiber towel. Finally, the wheels with a seperate, willing to get grungy micro-fiber towel.

Very quick, very thorough, no scratching.

Since P21 is a German company, I would think their products would be available in the EEU.

I bought an inexpensive synthetic chamois, (not an absorber, some other brand...). Worked like crap.

Hi Ross,

Check out the following web site: http://www.plymouthshopping.co.uk/mall/Wax...oduct-59085.stm

This is a UK-based company and they sell a California Water Blade.

Jazzboss - Here is where I got The Absorber from

http://www.meguiarsireland.com/consumer/in...ccessories.html

I ordered it on Monday and it arrived the following Monday by recorded delivery.

I will let you know what I think once I have used it in the next few days.

Tony - Thanks for the link for the waterblade.

Dlq04 - I will check the composition of my micro-fibre towels, but I also have two, one slightly harder than the other, specifically for the wheels, they do a great job. I haven't used the other one on the paintwork yet though, only on glass or vinyl.

Ross
