Do you mean brush less? I can't see how anything could be cleaned without something touching it. If you do mean brushless, they will scratch a car as well as a bruch type. The fibers hold the dirt in for the next car to be scratched by it. Better off washing by hand if you are able.

My understanding is that there are 2 issues here:

1) 'Touchless' car washes should not give you any swirls, since there's nothing touching the finish that would cause them.

2) Since there's nothing touching your finish to help get any dirt off, they tend to use pretty harsh detergents and high-pressure sprays, both of which WILL harm the finish. You'll end up with a swirl-free, yet dull finish which is not a good long-term protection for the paint.

All car washes use heavy detergents that strip the dirt AND WAX off of your paint finish. If you pay a little extra they will spray some wax water on your car

DON'T DO IT!!

I've seen "touchless" car washes that use equipment that dousn't touch your car. Problem is, they don't CLEAN your car either. So the attendants use brushes to prewash the car!! NASTY!!

Even if no brushes are used, a true "brushless" system HAS to use very harsh chemicals to strip the dirt. This wil damage the wax/polimer and ruin the shine.

Oh yea. I've also seen cars come out of these "touchless" systems that still have dirt / grime on them. No problem though, the person drying the car just just wipes it off with their drying towel. *Cringe*

I can't imagine anyone other than ME putting their hands on my baby!!!!!!!!!!
