Under a dirty tree, or in the sun?
My S is my daily driver, and my new job doesn't have covered parking. I have two options:
1. Park under a large oak tree. I have done this a few times already, and although it keeps the car completely out of the hot Florida sun, I end up with tiny spots of sap and the occasional mound of bird crap on it.
2. Park in the sun. I have done this a few times also, and although it keeps the bird crap and sap off the car (for the most part), I imagine the paint doesn't like it, and the car gets HOT AS HELL throughout the day, even with a sunshade and tint.
I work from 7am-3pm, and the sun is almost always out. I wash the car about once a week (with an occasional Quick Detailer clean), and I try to keep a coat of wax on it.
So, which would you do? Bird poop and sap, or UV rays?

Can't really afford a cover at the moment, and in Florida, you NEVER know when it's going to rain. Even if the forecast says no rain, short thunderstorms will appear out of nowhere
It pretty much rains every day in the summer (for at least 5 minutes).
What we Floridians say: "If you don't like the weather, wait 5 minutes!"
So, assuming you'd have no car cover, then which one?
EDIT: It just started thundering, and I can't even see any clouds!
PS - Car is in garage when at home

I would pick sun. QD spray is usually UV protective like 303 aerospace protectant... somewhat like sunscreen for your car.
i would pick the sun too but under a car cover

I've learned my lesson a few times. Sun doesn't damage paint--bird droppings and tree sap do
