Well, I'm convinced to try a more powerful blower. I can see how a blower with 3x as much force as mine would work much better.

Thanks for the info!

At times I think my neighbors think I'm a little "touched" as I wash my S so often, If they saw me with one of those blowers I know they would have me committed! An absorber works just fine for me.

You have to wear dark sunglasses and a disguise to dry your car with a leaf blower.

Okay, I finally got a leafblower (320kph) and tried it on the weekend.

Result...mixed...I found myself chasing the droplets and found some dried on the car leaving water spots - easily fixed with Z6, but I did not have this problem with the wiper blade and a towel.

I did like the way it got all the water out of all the creases that are difficult to wipe dry such around the tail lights. Also liked being able to blow dry the rims and tires quickly.

Gonna give it another shot but not chase the small amounts of water around and follow with a microfibre towel.

BTW, all my neighbours now think I am nuts.

I think it also helps to give your car one good final rinse with lots of water to get all of the soap residue and dirt so that when those little water droplets dry, they don't leave marks. As mentioned before, I do the Water blade thing real quick first to get the bulk of the water off, then go at it with the blower. I don't get too worked up about chasing all the little droplets all over the place. I just blow them as best I can to the next body panel edge. Mind you, my car is silver. Perhaps if yours is a black or red, you see the water marks more if you don't chase them.

Okay, tried it again last night. Washed the car, rinsed, then took the nozzle off the hose and just dosed the car, then took the blade to it and finally the leaf blower. Same problem...must be because it is a black car. I still think I am going to use it though I like being able to blast all the water out of the crevices, drying the rims and tires with it.
