Vinyl residue....help!
I purchased an s2k which had vinyl racing stripes on it. I wasn't really feeling the look so decided to pull them off. Once off...there was tons of adhesive left over from the vinyl.
After researching the boards a bit, I found 3m adhesive remover was the choice which was working great...however as I began to remove the adhesive, it broke into tiny particles which has covered and restuck itself onto the panels of my car. The panels now feel like 60gritt sand paper.. =( I've attempted to claybar it out...with little success. Any suggestions??

I am far from being an expert on this topic, but I have found Plexus to be effective at removing adhesives. But I have only used it for state stickers on glass and price tags on plastic and a excess glue on shower glass. The adhesive you have may be much stronger than my experience; I am sure others will chime in.
agree... in my old posts on how to remove badges i suggested floss and wd 40- just keep it away from areas that you dont want it on (like emblems).
try it first on a small area- spray it on, let it sit for a couple minutes and then gently wipe off with a clean mf. for a large area like you have, you might need several mf towels. then wash the car and rewax it.
have never used plexus for this, but thats a very interesting idea- and worth checking out too... other products that should work would be citrus based cleaners and bug/tar removers (autoglym is one i like)
