Wash after paint.

Wash after paint.
I imagine this has been asked before but I just had my hood refinished and there is dust built up on it.
Typically how long should I wait before I can wash and wax the car ? I was thinking 30 days for wax. But I could possibly wash it this weekend.
Any thoughts ?

I'm having my local body shop paint my driver's side door. When dropping the S off, I asked the guy there this very question. His reply: washing the vehicle is fine but wait about a month before waxing.

yup, you can wash and even some glazes are fresh paint safe...
but no wax or synthetic until the paint gasses out, and that depends on the process used. only the body shop will know how long until you can wax.

It really depends on the product/process used. We just picked up one of our daily drivers that had the rear bumper repained and they told us we could wax right away.
Check with your shop.
