Default What's wrong with my paint?

Picked up a car a month ago from Alabama. The paint looks good from a distance, but up close has all these white spots and stuff. I washed then used Klasse All-In-One, then Klass Sealant. I had hoped that the AIO would get rid of these spots, but no such luck.

Anyone know what this is and how to get rid of it? If it matters, the car is a Corvette (fiberglass) that has been repainted.

I dont think Klasse is going to get rid of those spots. It is more of a cleaner/protectant. Looks like compounding/polish may help with a good buffer/pad combo.

Hard to tell from the photo's if it's water spotting, a paint/clear issue exactly. Try clay baring and then an aggressive to fine compound followed up with your preferred wax and sealant.

Yeah you need something more agressive. I would wash the car with some dish soap first then clay bar it. Wash again with car soap. Then do a polish and sealant. Your in AZ right? Hit Feezy up he can help you. I would offer to but I am moving.

Looks like clear coat etching to me, maybe from hard water sitting on the paint. I've seen this a few times when cars get sprayed with a lawn sprinkler and it just dries in the sun.

DA polisher and some compound should take care of that

lol no not an orbital. those things are mainly to wax. as soon as you put pressure on those things they stop moving. you need a DA. (rotary is your experienced)

Since you dont have much experience i would take this to a professional detailer. Those are hard water spots, and can be tricky to get out all the way. Your car may even need to be wetsanded in some areas to make it perfect. I would pay someone to do a full clear coat restore, wet sand and buff then polish and seal the whole car. Will be exspensive but worth it for sure in the long run!!
