Default when dirty stuff happens between washes

i have what appear to be bird droppings or bug guts in several spots on the hood of my car, which was just freshly washed and waxed 2 days ago. i probably won't get to do a complete wash n wax until the weekend (i live in an apt, so usually have to wash my car elsewhere), but don't feel like driving for another few days with crud on the car, especially since it's in such a visible spot. i'm thinking of spritzing some water on it and wiping off the junk if i can (it's got several coats of zaino so hopefully will wipe right off), but am afraid i might do more harm than good (i.e., leave scratches). what do you guys normally do in this situation?

thanks!

I usually just spritz it with a little detailing spray and wipe it off with a clean microfiber towel. I certainly wouldn't leave he bird shit on the car (at least not on the S).

Yep, quick detailer. Spray the dropping good and let it soak for a while between wiping and scraping it along your paint dry.

in the spirit of the "just use the car wash" thread, I'd recommend some 60 grit sandpaper and as much elbow grease as you can muster.

or some quick detailer and a clean MF towel, using the technique suggested by pilotKD.

I've been getting alot of bug splatter recently so I fill a bucket with soapy water and just wash off the affected areas and front windshield then I towel rinse, then towel dry then spritz with detailer. I can do this with the top down because I don't use the hose. Takes about 5 minutes for this mini wash.

Mix one part of Eagle one wax as you dry with one part of water in spray bottle.

Spray generously on a clean MF towel and the dirty spot on your car and wipe it off. Flip the MF and spray some more and buff it to shine.

I always have a bottle of the eagle one stuff and MF in my trunk.

Can't leave home without it
