Window is uncleanable?
I had my front bumper and lip painted at a shop and I noticed that my passenger widow and mirror has water marks or something. I washed my car and the window/mirror was still dirty. How can I removed this residueish crap?
Heres what I tried after washing my car:
windex = still dirty
windex with blade = still dirty
paint thinner = still dirty
paint thinner and blade = still dirty
any other suggestions?

First of all? I dont want to sound rude but I know how to clean a dirty window. I tried cleaning this window with windex and a towel and then I tried all the other stuff I mentioned. Windex and a blade should've done the trick. I think this is a special case

That sounds like it could work, but isnt paint thinner stronger than clay?

I thought you were referring to the minor streaks that tend to get left behind when cleaning windows -- i.e. the really minor marks that you can see when you drive at night, but not really the case during the day. I personally find those marks to be very annoying, simply because you can't see it all the time, but really bothers me when I drive at night.

It's apples and oranges. Paint thinner is a chemical cleaner whereas clay is a mechanical cleaner (a/k/a abrasive).

The stuff thats on the window/mirror that im concerned about probably falls under the chemical catagory thats why I tried paint thinner. Isnt clay used to smooth out rough surfaces on the cars paint? Anywho, i'll try it in the morning, thanks.
Yeah . . . I'm not saying you have a chemical stain. What I'm saying is that paint thinner works chemically. Clay on the other hand works mechanically. Paint thinner works via a chemical reaction with the stain whereas clay works mechanically through friction like sandpaper.
