When I got my car repainted they got overspray on the windshield. They told me to take some steelwool to it and it worked fine.

Went to R&S strauss today and purchased some product that has a polisher liquid and clay bar. Couldnt find a clay bar alone, anyway I tried to remove the "overspray" from the mirror 1st and it looks like very little went away after scrubbing for about 40 minutes taking a minute break here and there. I tried using a wire pad thingy afterwards with the polishing spray and it took a little off as well but not to much. Where do I get a #0000 steel wool from and a clay bar that actually works.

I had my front bumper and lip painted at a shop and I noticed that my passenger widow and mirror has water marks or something. I washed my car and the window/mirror was still dirty. How can I removed this residueish crap?

Heres what I tried after washing my car:

windex = still dirty

windex with blade = still dirty

paint thinner = still dirty

paint thinner and blade = still dirty

any other suggestions?
You may want to try distilled white vinegar to remove any residue and then clay bar.

After the fact, use a good automotive glass cleaner applied and taken off with paper towels. Follow up by buffing with a micro fiber towel.

I tried it and found the process more than satisfactory for cleaning stubborn exterior windows.

Wiley.
