Default Yikes...

I hope I didn't screw my car up.

I waxed my black S2000 with Mother's and buffed it with a towel according to directions. Well, of course, the black shows off every tiny microscratch. Well it shined beautifully, but there are billions of swirls and microscratches. Granted, black shows everything wrong with the finish. You really can't see them unless you look very hard with just the right light and angle.

A friend of mine told me I really screwed up. He said I needed to "let the paint cure" for at least six months before waxing.

What do I do now?

Should I "let go and let God?" or do something?

"Let the paint cure" was necessary back in the old days. Now, with the paint technology these days, by the time the car gets to the dealer, it's cured. In fact, the dealer probably threw on a coat of wax or glaze before you took possession of it.

Go with Zaino! Use Z5 then Z2 and go for at least 8 coats!

You won't regret it!

YES!!! Absoultely! GO with Zaino! My old '00 Berlina Black S2000 never looked any better until I used ZAINO!!!

My paint suffered the brunt of a $5 an hour dealer worker who waxed her with some horrible fluid! Months passed before I heard of Zaino and saw some results. It been a keeper ever since!

Here's a pic after Zaino!

The swirls will be remedied with a pollish.
You must first take off the wax you've got on there now with a pre-wax cleaner.
Then wax.

Also, ensure that you use 100% cotton towels. Terry cloth towels (and any non-100% cotton towels) will swirl your paint really bad. Also ensure that they have been sewn with cotton thread. A lot of cotton towels are sewn with polyester thread - this will swirl the paint too.

Remove the tags from the towels too.

In addition to removing the "Tags" I also remove the stiching at the ends of the towel. Often times the thread used is very strong, but can be abbrasive. It doesn't matter that the ends fray a little, but it does matter if that thread puts small swirl/scratches in the paint.

Just my $0.02

Zaino products ROCK!!! You will not be sorry you took the time and $ to do it right!
