Default Z-7 Replacement? Help please....

Ok, I need a little advice. I am getting my S2k this week and I have Z-18, Z-1, Z-2, Z-5, Z-6, & Z-16 but for some reason I neglected to add Z-7. In reading the directions, I have to Dawn first and then a lubricant (Z-7) before I use the claybar. After the claybar again with the Z-7. I will not be able to get the Z-7 before the car arrives. Is there any other alternative to the Z-7 I might be able to use? I did a search and I could not find any matches to this question. Thanks for the help.......

e mail Sal at zaino. There might be a local distributor in your area, or he might be able to suggest a substitute (doubtful).

I forget his e mail address, but it is listed at www.zainobros.com

You do not have to use Z7. If you can not get in time don't worry. You can substitute a high quality car wash instead and all will be fine. Just make sure it is formulated for car finish and doesn't contain any wax or polish ingredients.

What kind of high quality car wash would you use or recommend?

First, if its the FIRST time your using Zaino-- you don't want to use Z-7. You want to use "DAWN" to remove any previous wax, etc...

Second, while I love (and highly recommend) all the Zaino products, Z-7 is the one that is least important to the entire "formula". Using any kind of non-detergant soap should do the trick...

I know that the best wash to use would be Z-7, but I do not have enough time for/to get it. Therefore, I need to use an alt for the first wash. Don't get me wrong, I will put in an order for Z-7 but my car will be/need be washed before it arrives. Thank for the posts everyone.......

blackonreds2k:

Just for informational purposes, orders I receive by 1PM are guaranteed to be shipped the same day. UPS does a great job, and you could expect next day delivery.
