Default Zaino in the rain

sup fellas...well, it looks like i'm gonna be hit by rain for the first time today since i've put 2 coats of zaino on. My question is this, should i just wait till it clears up again and just rewash the car or is it safe to chamois the rain off and go over it with just the z6? Thanks guys....

oh yeah, on ma 98 prelude the plastic trim along the bottom of the car has turned into a nasty gray instead of the original black due to wax stains, age, road grime, etc....anyways, i was wondering what would be the best product to use to bring it back to that black color? or to make it look black till the next wash anyways...Thanks again for any help....

I wouldn't just chamois the car with the rain water...because it'll contain some dirt, and then you'll scratch the paint. I'd play it safe and re-wash.

Griott's garage (griotsgarage.com) has some "Bumper and TrimReconditioning Dye". I haven't used it, but it may be worth a try.

Definitely hand wash with Z-7 or another safe car wash and dry completely before applying any Z-2, Z-5 or any wax/polish to your car.

I don't have any experience with removing wax/polish stains from black plastic trim. It might be tough. When I polished my Prelude, I always used masking tape on the black plastic and rubber trim. This prevented the white polish stains on the trim. Obviously, this is not necessary with Zaino.

I have a 98 prelude and its best to use soap and water on the trim (scrub well). Then armor all works well.

There's a product called 'Bumper Black' that fixes up rubber trim pieces quite nicely.

I picked up a bottle at my local track auto a few years ago. I think it was about $5. It's made by The Wax Shop.
