Who's your provider? I've had my tmobile and ATT phones unlocked just by calling and asking them to unlock the phone. I told them I'm traveling overseas and want to use my other SIM cards while overseas.
(Caveat: As long as you've been with them for over 1/year it's not problem)

thanks... i will check out pcs connection
don't think T-Mobile will help me out since i switched to AT&T.
NOTE TO SELF - "unlock your phone before switching providers".... should have gotten advice before switching.

don't make the mistake of going to PCS Connection - over priced and just rude.
i ended up going to A to Z Wireless (5658 Mission Center Road - 3 doors down from Longs). took good care of me and price was fair.
