Default Code Scanner

Well, as some of you may know my Civic has completely given up the ghost. Is it possible for someone to come by my crib and check what code is throws? I try to turn my car on but it wont go. I have a high suspicion that it may be the timing belt but I want to confirm it first before I decide whether to get another daily or repair it. I am free this Tuesday, Wednesday after 3 and Thursday all day. I really appreciate it. I'll take whoever out to eat or for some beer or both. It would be much appreciated.

What time are you available? My number is 585-217-7675. I greatly appreciate it. You think it can put up a code even if it wont turn over? It turns on, but it wont turn over.

I don't mean to butt in and be a downer, but if it won't turn over I don't suspect a code is going to tell you much. If it won't turn over, it's basically 1 of: battery, solenoid, starter, or engine is seized (hope not!). I don't think a code will help you until you solve that and get it cranking. In any case though, hope you get it figured out!

Absolutely. You're right. But there is no harm in trying.
