Default New to S2k Scene

Whats up guys and gals?! This is just another new s2k purchase thread but i dont feel the need to jack someone elses thread. OK, so Ive been riding street bikes and doing a lil cruzing in the civic hatches for last few years but nothing big on purchases till the recent purchase of a 09 silver hardtop s2k so im super stoked! She is boosted already and from the looks of the inter-cooler piping (blue standard looking hoses) some ebay turbo but i am still digging it hardcore! I honestly have no idea what has been done to her besides the obvious turbo and so far ive been taking it easy on her cause i dont know how she is tuned or what parts i really have in her. I do know it has upgraded axles, diff and drive shaft so im guessing she has been prepared somewhat. Just thought id say what up and lil about my new purchase im looking for some cruzing time once i get her on a dyno and tuned ( for my piece of mind)

Any pix of that turbo kit. We can probably tell you what you have by seeing pix of it. And welcome!

Not sure what kit that is but maybe a closer pix of the manifold will help. that's a good after market radiator and oil catch can you have though. Since you bought the car like that did it pass smog ok? How does the car run?

Just because it has blue intercooler couplings doesn't mean it's eBay. From the looks of it, it looks like a quality product, the build looks decent too, seeing it has an aftermarket radiator and catch can set up.
Welcome!

did you buy this car from California motors direct? or i think thier father dealership or where it branched from is sckars.com . Becuase I remember seeing it for sale for sometime and they had it priced pretty low which makes you want to take the risk. Good luck with the purchase. I would start off and do preventative maintenance or take it to a shop and have it looked it. Those dealerships are pretty shady and have horrible reviews. Ive seen cars they have for sale that are ap2 but have ap1 headlights. Something the normal JO schmo would not catch. They even had an 05 with honda civic ek seats and steering wheel!

She runs fine, but i havent really got on it. Ebay blue was a joke since i didnt see a name on the turbo but based off the parts that werent removed, the Car was loved deeply...uh Yeha thats the place oc motors and yeha it is sketch and I knew that when i bought it. The good news is i know where they take their cars for service. That guy is honest. He told me everything they removed and what they did. IE srs clock spring taken out for another s, coilovers removed and replaced with civic springs. To name a few shady things. So that's why its not my dd. I bought it to park for now since it was so cheap. Ive had alot of cars and work on all of them my self. I got a list of parts to get and to check up on but even after i get them, it will be way cheaper then doing it piece by piece. For now its worth the savings. Part of the reason when i do drive it, i baby it. Well see, fingers crossed />
