Default SD Porter cable pros!

so my porter cable came in today which i ordered from autogeek.net

it came w/ pinnacle xmt swirl remover, finishing glaze and lake country 3 orange pads.

now i need some clarity...

from what i gathered on the wash and wax forums, the orange pad should only be used for the swirl remover polish.

when moving over to the finishing glaze, i would need a softer, less abbrassive pad.

and each pad gets progressively softer as i move forward towards the washing and glazing process, etc etc.

is this right? will it be a bad idea to use the orange pads throughout the entire process?

if so, where can i purchase more pads here in sd? i know i can order online, but i want the instant gratification as i would like to polish my car this coming weekend!

thanks in advance guys!

Multiple sets of pads are needed if you want to do it right. I'm not sure where to get them here in SD, I ordered mine for Autotopia. All Sonus pads.

The Orange pads are too hard to do the entire process. you can still use it for the swirl removal and then hand polish it, until the rest of the pads come in.

If you get the Sonus pad.. start with orange and sonus sfx 1. Work it pretty thoroughly and then wipe off any excess. Then use the white pad and sonus sfx2 and work that. wipe down and then use the blue pad and polish/glaze. in the end use some klasse polish on a applicator pad and then finish off with a wax.
