Bummer about your experience with Mr Ticket!
I don't want to blow my own whistle here, let me preface it by saying I put 671,000 miles on our Jetta, and then 289,000 miles on my Corrado G60, then 25,000 miles on my Corrado VR6, and 34,000 miles on my R32, and 45,000 miles on my pathfinder... yes, I drive a lot. So to say I've been pulled over at least twice a year for the past 10 years is a pretty low average, about 1 ticket every 50,000 miles.
Anyways, he's always gotten rid of mine, all 20 of them. I still recommend checking him out.

I've had a fair number of tickets over the past 10 years, and before there was online traffic school I purchased a "Lifetime membership" to one of the San Diego traffic schools. The disadvantage is that you have to go to the class. The advantage is that I don't have to pay any longer and they've explained how to do traffic school for tickets more frequently than every 18 months. Basically, San Diego county doesn't check to see if you're eligible, so you just send in your fine and traffic school information and that's that.
