HELP!!! got a ticket for unsafe lane changing and speeding. the cop says he "saw" me going 92 mph but he decided to write me up for 95 in a 70 mph zone. he didnt have a radar and was not pacing us because he was no where near us, he was on an on ramp and just followed me and estimated the speed. what should i do, ill pay the ticket because i know i broke the law (along with all the other speeders out there) but i would like to keep it off my record as much as possible. as far as i know i can only take traffic school for one offense every 18 months but this ticket is a double infraction. HELP!

I'll tell you this, if he doesn't have it on radar then you basically can fight it. They cannot just pace you or guess how fast you're going. I got out of 2 tickets already because the guy assume I was going over 90, but I told him I didn't know how fast I was going and asked to see the radar. He wouldn't show me and let me go. I have friends that showed up to court to fight it and go out because the cop never had the radar to prove it.

Also if you don't get anything on the mail then usually the cop didn't turn in the report. Thats why you keep checking to make sure if not then cop was too lazy.

You also have a good chance to fight it if you show up and the cop didn't means your off easily.
