Default Who is running ITB's in SD?

I am looking to order my ITB's from TWM this week and wanted to talk to someone who actually has them in their car. The only guy I have seen with them is the pac-man on a video. I would like to hear and see them in person.

48mm?
50mm?
bigger?

if you have them or know someone who does call me!

i was goin to, but got the hardtop instead. everyone in sd like to go FI, but from what i hear from all the itb, its hard to tune, fabrication is hard, u will need alot of patience with it, and u cant just slap itb on a stock motor to get power. Ive seen itb on stock S produce 210whp. They can do that with intake adn exhaust. some say it aint worth it. but it depends on what u wanna rock. if i had teh money for it, id get it, but not witht that alone, i gotta built my motor so back it up. cuz itb wont do much.

Will not do a thing os a stock S2000 you need lots of motor work to even need ITB's the only reasone people run ITB's is for the CFM you can get from them. just buy a blower or turbo if you want to go fast

I do want to go fast, I think we all do, but is forced induction really the answer? We have high compression motors, why not go N/A? if I wanted a turbo car I would have bought an evo or sti. I like the banshee cry of a N/A motor.

My car is more of a time attack toy than a daily driver or wanna be drag racer.
I had considered a supercharger since the ITB's will need some creativity in order to keep them below the 98db's limit for the track.

Either way I guess if I get them it will just be me and the pac-man with them.
and maybe TJ if the other buyer backs out and he gets to pick up the deal on the 54mm set.

It's hard to believe no one on here has experience with the ITB's if you do please speak up!

Do you have anything done with the motor? Head work/cams/stroker? If you're going to stay n/a, then ITB's are generally done AFTER the aforementioned mods.

if you check in the JDM section of the forum on the 2nd page there are 2 threads about ITB's and the s2000. There are a number of guys who are already have ITB's and have been running them for a while.

btw the ITB's i was looking at were 52mm

i rather do n/a rather than force induction, but itb wont do any good with a stock motor. I was really gonna get it, but goin fast with n/a cost alot of money. my goal is 300hp n/a with itbs, but thats gonna be really expensive.

i think the equation that i saw was....

Reliable + Cheap = Slow

Cheap + Fast = Not Reliable

Fast + Reliable = Expensive
