Default window problem

Last night I was rolling my driver side window up when I suddenly heard a weird noise. My window suddenly slid back down. I tried to roll it up again but with no luck.

So I took off the door panel today to get a better look at it. Window is in one peice. Motor still works, but the wire that drives the window up and down somehow was snapped.

Is this wire replaceable and be done diy? If so, does anyone have any experience with this?

Or do you guys know of any reputable places that deal with stuff for a reasonable price?

Thanks in advance

just strip and solder those wires back together. Make sure you find out how it was cut because it might cut again. I suggest heat shrink tubing and tuck it out of the way

the wire that got severed is the wire that is part of the pulley system of the window. its the actual wire that pulls the window up and down.

Oh, sorry for mistaking you. Its not a wire, its a cable. The cable for the window regulator. You are going to have to buy another window regular. Part #2 on the pic posted above. Buy it on ebay. Works just as good as OEM and a lot cheaper. I bought one off ebay for my old Accord for $50 a couple years ago and holds up to this day.

oh and its a LOT easier to replace then it seems. There are like 4 or so bolts that hold it in. It is just as easy as removing the door so you should be fine doing it yourself. good luck.
