UPS is a fine shipping company. When you deal with used parts and things being sold online, at a loss in most cases, packaging isn't much of a concern to most sellers. UPS requires sufficient packaging in order to issue reimbursement from a damage claim. That would mean packing the item well enough to withstand a 10 foot fall. If your box can withstand a 10 foot fall, any other damage will be reimbursed with little hassle to the consumer. I've seen boxes run over by vehicles where rubber marks were left on the box and clearly visible, full insurance coverage was paid out. UPS knows who's really at fault and they'll fix whats right.

Well, I didn't even know you filed a paypal claim until yesterday. I also included insurance for. 2500 dollars on the shipment in case something happened , which I told you. I don't understand making this a public issue before contacting me

Corey, I'll c/p my response(s) from FB:

Corey, I know you insured the package. That is how UPS will reimburse YOU, not me (the buyer). The fact that you shipped the parts the day immediately following my PayPal claim was simply a coincidence? I'm sending everything back in the morning. You can also file a claim through UPS (I will relay return shipping as soon as I have the information).

While I appreciate you taking responsibility for the packaging, the most amicable solution will be for me to ship everything back/you file a UPS claim.

Don't ship the package back, he'll need to issue a claim before you do so. UPS will also more than likely want to inspect the package so it needs to stay where it is.

I can count on 1 hand the amount of times I've had a pleasurable experience with ups I can't count how many times they've damaged my packages or left my package out in the rain. But this post isn't about my issues with ups so let's agree to disagree

Thanks Lee. I don't like making threads like this. I was at least able to get an admission from Corey (he did indeed receive the messages from PayPal). sam_spider, I'll continue to document the transaction as well as contact UPS tomorrow (the claims form is down currently; at least from the perspective of the receiver).

Sorry to see this happen to you kyle.

I will say right now that UPS will not cover ANY of that as the problem is inside of the package and there isn't really any damage on the outside of the package.

FYI. If you do file a claim(which is a waste of time) UPS will pick the package up, then ship it somewhere, then they take it all apart and see what was damaged. then they decide what you will get back and what they will pay for. It's been over a month and i have not received any reimbursement for my items damaged by UPS, nor do i have my item back.

i had to pay out of my pocket to replace my items as i couldn't wait this long, and they wanted me to give them my $2500+ worth of items in some broken box for them to throw around again. not a chance!
