GT Motoring
I'm not one to easily lose faith in people or call anyone out in public forum and I would really have liked to resolve this in private, however I feel I have exhausted that avenue so I would like to share my experience with GT Motoring and Greg Haye in particular as well. Before I do, I would like to say that this isn't meant to bash or defame either of the aforementioned parties, but only to try and sort the situation out in a professional manner that works in all parties involved best interest. I have purchased many parts from Greg in the past, including a Hytech header and test pipe and a complete brake package and the transactions have up until now gone completely smooth and the parts have always been delivered either on or ahead of schedule with excellent communication throughout the entire process, which is why I am so surprised at the way business is currently being conducted.
On August 7, 2012 I placed an order through PayPal to GT Motoring for the sum of $1865.00 USD for four items. The order was for a Toda S2000 timing chain tensioner, Toda S2000 timing chain, Toda pulley kit with AC pulley and the matching ASM idler/tensioner pulleys. At the time I was told that the timing chain was in stock and the that they MIGHT have a tensioner but if not, it would be mid-September. Also the ASM pulleys were in stock and the Toda ones would be mid-September. This was perfectly fine with me, and we agreed to ship the entire order once all the parts had arrived. I was planning to do a complete engine build over the winter months and was in no real rush for the parts, also, I knew how long Japanese parts could take to get to North America from an 18 week wait for my Volks from a different distributor. So I placed the order, paid in full, and the wait began.
Mid-September came and I received no update or tracking info from Greg, so I sent Greg a friendly message on Facebook on September 27th as we are friends on there and he communicated that he would check the following day and that it had been crazy at the shop because they had to fire one employee and hire another. Perfectly understandable, I accepted this and patiently waited for an update the following day. The next time I heard from Greg was on November 15th, after sending him PM's on Facebook on October 17th, 25th and November 13th with no reply. On the 15th I got a response to email him at greg@gtmotoring.com as he didn't check Facebook messenger often but he would check on the status of the order that day and let me know. I emailed again on November 22nd and 30th and got a response on the 30th that he would "shoot a note over to Toda, see if there is an update on the pending parts". The next reply I received was on December 10th stating that "Looks like everything should be in this Jan shipment."
Correspondence has gone back and forth like this for the past 6 months with me sending short, and to the point emails every couple weeks looking for an update and after 2 or 3 on my part, he would send a reply saying things like "just waiting on the pulley looks like" or "rest of the items should be in the next Toda shipment." The last email I received from him was on May 10th stating "I'll have some parts in on Tuesday looks like. I'll touch base on what's leaving here later that day and get you some tracking info." Since then I have sent two emails and a PM on Facebook with no reply.
I have not asked for a refund yet because I still very much want the parts for my build so to have to order them again from another supplier and potentially wait even longer is not very appealing to me. I would still like to be able to give Greg and GT Motoring the benefit of doubt that Toda is slacking on their end however my patience is growing thin and I really just want an honest update on when to expect my parts as it has now been over 10 months.
Greg/Austin, if you're reading this please email me as soon as possible or call me at the supplied phone number in the email so we can discuss how to move forward with this.

Tyler Mahaney

Tyler,
I'll shoot you an email later today with the tracking. I had a question for ya as well yet. As you know we have had some of your order here for a good while waiting to combine to ship. I saw your facebook message on my personal account earlier today buy was not yet in the office FYI.
Thank you for the prompt reply Greg, I look forward getting this order filled and making some power with these parts. Like I said, I have no hard feelings, I wanted to give you guys the benefit of doubt, I just wish we could have done it in private rather than public forum. I also just realized that since the order was originally placed my address has changed. I'll update you via email right now.
Thanks,
Tyler

No problem Tyler. I asked about the new address ( since I knew you moved in recent months )
Thanks
I like this company, except for one minor thing. ETA..... I've personally met Greg and Austin. Both guys are great! It's just that they always say "things will be here this week", and it doesn't happen. I know things happen that can delay when things can be shipped out, but I would like a little better communication. I've ordered wheels, brakes, Tires, Etc. And the only thing i'm waiting on is my Suspension. I did order them Back in Mid February hoping i'd get them in time for MAP Proving grounds June 21. They are suppose to be shipped today according to what Greg told me over the Phone this past Tuesday. Crossing my fingers!!!!
And yes, the only problems seem to be on the items that are not in stock, otherwise they have fast shipping!!
Overall I will still end up ordering from them.

Well.....bad news. No suspension. No explanation, No replies to whats going on. I didn't think i was the last one to order AST, but I seem to be the last one getting them. Losing hope in this company.
Greg, Austin. Can you guys please tell me whats going on????

Jodan,
I've been away from my office past 4-5 days glued to a race car. Just got your email and am working on a solution for this last set.
