My Experiences with HardTopGuy
Yeah I don't know what to make of this situation. I'm considering buying a hardtop, and HTG is of course among the sellers I'm looking at, but with the complaints in here it seems like a great risk...
htg was good for me, i ordered a bunch of stuff before and once i had a question and he forwarded me the exact pdf of the page from the service manual, i think he's a good guy but i don't know what's happening in his personal life at the moment to distract him from his obligations to his customers.
I've actually been able to make contact with him via email, but I'm just getting the standard "it will ship soon" response since last week. I understand he is probably getting bombarded with new orders while still trying to catch up (while flying out to CA installing hardtops...sorry couldn't resist).
If you don't mind rolling the dice on having to wait a few weeks longer, I'm betting hardtop guy probably still has some of the best prices around for quality parts.

Anyone heard from him recently? I placed an order in early Nov, and didnt hear anything for like 2 weeks until I called him, then he said the order was lost and will try shipping it out but it might be missing something but wasnt sure. I told him if he didnt have it to ship without it he said he will ship that day. I called him again and he said he was shipping soon, so I told him to e-mail me once he does with a receipt. Now its been another two weeks and I have sent him several e-mails but no reply from him. Also, his website doesnt work for me, can anyone else get on it? Ive had some issues ordering from him before, but he is the only person that offers some of the items I need and he is one of the few that would ship to me cause im Military overseas
I've got my on going battle in trying to get my order fully fulfilled right now too. After ordering my CR lip, wing, and hardware about a month ago, they finally came in (or so I thought) only after I began hounding him for a status update. i didn't get the 8 bolts I need to install my lip and when i emailed Jeff, he just told me to check the packing list (which doesn't even list the bolts, so they never shipped, but without them, there is no way to install the lip to the bumper). When i called, the guy who answered the phone asked who I was and that he was going to get Jeff. The guy who answered came back on and said Jeff was on the other line and would call me back. So not only did I not get all the hardware I ordered ($62!), I still never even got a call back.
For a guy who just made a $1500 dollar sale, you would think he could at least try to make sure the order was right. By far the worst online ordering experience I've ever had, and would never recommend ordering here again.
