Received my AP2 tail lights. Came with detailed instructions, template for cutting, wiring harness, and mounting bracket. Nice kit. I would say call or email him and I'm sure he'll be upfront about wait time.

 

Sounds like a trainwreck to me. How do you have customers sitting out there for months without knowing the status of their order. If parts are back ordered, the buyer should be told and offered a refund. That is how it works everywhere else.

The fact that he takes care of some orders doesn't cut it. I won't risk it.

 

when do people realize they should stop ordering if they dont want to take the chance of getting nothing...lol

and sorry for the people who havnt gotten their stuff yet, but i have not have any problems with HTG yet.

Yes. I finally got my parts a month later, and he offered to refund shipping. I've e-mailed and called him about 5-10 times since then and still nothing. Mods, please do something about this. It's absolutely ridiculous he's still allowed to be a sponsor.

On another note, don't buy a new TCT, just sandblast the worm gear.

 

i just cancelled an order with him, too, though i didn't have any special order parts. he told me it would ship out on a certain day, didn't hear from him two days after he said it would ship, then i touched base with him after that to cancel. i don't have anything personal against him, but i would look elsewhere for the time being.

for what it's worth though, he was responsive with emails and was quick to refund the payment.

 

Ordered two cans of brake fluid and an air filter from HTG on 6/14.
Received one can of brake fluid and the filter on 7/16.

No reply to emails. Doesn't answer phone. I just want my can of brake fluid.

I hate to see Jeff crash and burn like this... he's always been such a great merchant and is (was) well respected here at s2ki. However, I certainly don't recommend ordering anything from him until everything's back under control. I also don't think he should still be taking orders when he obviously can't complete transactions from over 4 months ago.

what would they do.. it's always been buyer beware.. HTG paid S2KI to be a sponsor and we've only had one other well respected sponsor screw up in the past. There is no much Cthree or HG can do if you don't get your order

best bet - use a credit card and dispute the charge if you don't get your order

 

Last week, I put in an order to HardTopGuy. My rear wheel bearing was making all kinds of awesome sounds, so I ordered a new bearing and hub, and while I was placing an order, I also ordered a CR Radio door, new windshield sprayers, and some touch up paint. I ordered on a friday. Also, inspired buy the guy who put in an order to amsoil, I put in the special comments, "Draw a bunny on the box."

After the weekend was over and the awesome sounds from my rear wheel bearing started becoming more and more awesome, I called him on Monday and asked if it had been shipped. He looked it up and the windshield sprayers were were on backorder. I told him how badly I needed the wheel bearing so he split the order (for free) and shipped that part that day. The bearing came in yesterday and I installed it within about an hour.

I expected to have to wait a little while longer for the second half of my order, when today I recieved this:



He drew an awesome bunny on the box, and inside were the sprayers and touchup paint that i wasnt expecting to recieve for a while. I know some of you are weary about ordering from him, but my experience was great, and he answered all questions I had within a couple minutes of me calling him.

HardTopGuy, he is an awesome vendor, I wouldnt hesitate at all to order from him again. Thanks Jeff, you are awesome!
