Don't you need "haz mat" certification to ship something that is explosive, like an air bag?

Heck, I re-used a box one day, and didn't realize there was a sticker on it that determined the contents were hazardous. UPS held it at their facility until we picked it up and re-packaged it as we are not haz mat certified.

perhaps a little communication on the front end would help there.
if you set the expectation that you'll ship "when you get around to it." people may reconsider if they want to buy it. otherwise get it out promptly.
It always distresses me on eBay when I buy and pay within minutes that the seller then waits a week to ship to ship overnight.

1 million percent!

From a buyers perspective it is very irritatiing to have paid promptly for something and than have a seller who now has your money and product lolly gag around for a period of time sometimes up to 2 to 3 weeks before shipping off the product and in the interim not even communicating to the buyer.

I but a LOT of items via bb's ebay' here and online it irks me to no end when sellers are not responsive.

Drhess, although I understand your situation and am sympathetic to it, there is no excuse not to email your seller and lay it out to them. This does not require a car to do. No matter how busy one is an email takes less than a minute to compose and send. You had time to sell it take the time to communicate it. This way you avoid these situations, also if your shipping time line is not agreeable by the buyer whom has sent his $ for your product already its only fair to offer a 100% refund to the buyer if they ask for it and resell your item to another buyer.

This is just good etiquette and something you would expect yourself if you were a buyer waiting for a part.
