Just to play devils advocate - you only hear about the bad sales - maybe there are a LOT of good ones on the other side. No on has a reason to make a post saying "That DrHess - he's such a great seller - make sure you buy from him."

Sure they do. I post in the good seller thread or in the FS thread I bought from each time I have a good transaction.

when people post asking for references about people in NE such as Glenn, Jeff, Jeff or most other folks here the response would be favorably

heck maybe that's what buyers should do now. post in the local region and ask for references before sending money

Yea....but they all seem to be resolved quickly or simply matters of communication, internaitonal shipping etc.
you forget the trunk sale

that thing looks like the UPS guy ran it over a few times and the seller said - just sell it for scrap

Not many go out of their way once the deal is done. Theres no real incentive. We see that all the time at work. We may get 1-2 letters a year saying how good we are and how happy the customer is, but we'll get 3 times that if someone feels the opposite. We obviously have more than 2 happy customers or else we wouldnt be in business - repeat customers are where its at.

You sir are a part of a rare breed.

A lot of extinuating circumstances on that one. Seller shipped on time - to the address provided - insured.

What's that old saying? "A happy customer tells one or two people. An unhappy customer will tell ten."

Vintage people have been around long enough to know lots of old sayings.
