Default Beat-up 2009 IS250 Starfire Pearl Revival

This car came to me from a friend looking to refresh her car, I haven't seen it in at least a year. That's probably not the only thing it hasn't seen for a year, I would say a wash is up on the list too. This car had the toughest brake dust I've come across so far. Also, I was using my sister's DSLR, and I lost it for a good chunk of the detail so I apologize for the lack of correction pictures.

This was just a one-step detail, just looking to bring a little life back into the paint. Please excuse the dirty garage, we just moved into the new house and we're still trying to clean it up and get everything out of the way. Sadly, a couple days after the detail, an old man managed to back up into her car and smash the front bumper :shakehead:

Here's the car as it arrived:

Caked-on brake dust:

APC soak for front bumper and all lower panels:

Trim agitated:

Here's how dirty it was, driver's side door not done yet. After shot of the rim cleaning, now these rims took 4-5 round of wheel brightener EACH. The most I've ever needed before was 2 rounds at the most. This is when I realized this car was gonna be harder then I thought:

Clay bar:

The car was rough:

PTG readings taken, the car was showing consistent healthy readings of 160-150:

Some of the defects present in the car, it was very hard to capture these. Hard water spotting:

Random spots on the car looked like they had been washed with a brillo pad. Also a deep scratch in this picture.:

Hazy headlight correction. Before:

After. No wetsanding, just a polish to clear up the haze:

Tails also corrected:

Sorry no paint correction pics! Here are the afters. Please Excuse the minor streaking in the first one:

The pearl really popped and shimmered. Here's it reflecting the light onto my garage door icture:

Only 2 daytime during correction pics:

Clean rims, but sadly the brake dust had just been on for too long. There was nothing I could do :shakehead:
