Hello from Northern Ireland
Well I've owned my S for a month now and it's by far been the best car I've ever driven. I'm pretty much smitten. I sit in work thinking about how much I want to get home and take it out and the cleaning bug has well and truely bit.
One thing that had been bugging me was the condition of the paintwork. The car had lots of swirls and fine scratches and after trying to get rid of them myself by hand with various polishes that I'd read up about, I threw in the towel and started looking for a local detailer. I just didn't have the guts to machine it myself. I found a real good local guy and we agreed a 20 hour detail (Friday and Saturday). Once he got started though he soon realised the task ahead and the car fought him the whole time.
In the end it took him 43 hours (Friday to Monday) but the end result was amazing. Of course the weather was fantastic until he finished and it's been raining ever since. I got a few photos taken and a video from inside my garage. I think the video certainly does it justice. I hope nobody minds me posting them. I know it's a bog standard S2000 but it's shiny!! haha
This was pretty much what the whole car looked like under a strong light
The results:
I think the video really shows off the reflections

And some fancy shots, although by the time I got out it was dark
